For over 25 years, Jon has channelled his passion for beautiful design, build quality and detail into designing commercial and residential interiors and furniture. Following a degree in Industrial Design from Brunel University, his initial start in design was in a furniture manufacturing company and then working in retail design and designing and managing build for agencies including, Fitch, Imagination, Studio Hagger and Corsie Naysmith before setting up Camouflage, a retail design and branding agency specialising in the design and build of commercial projects.
In 2010, after renovating his own home, Jon realised that his skills and passions were even more suited to the residential market and then set up Hamilton King Ltd. He has since been ploughing his efforts into designing, building and renovating contemporary homes for private clients and developing bespoke furniture. Jon lives in Kew, Surrey with his wife Gail, their two young children and their Fox Red Labrador. Jon enjoys renovating their Victorian home, kite surfing and family travel adventures.
Tom joined Hamilton King in 2012 with a First-Class BDes (Hons) degree in Product Design & 3D CAD Modelling from Liverpool John Moores University and BEng in Manufacturing Engineering from Loughborough University. His passion for creative design and engineering has been apparent from a young age - achieving an Arkwright scholarship in 2006 and judged as runner up in Young Engineer of Britain award also in the same year.
He has significant experience in planning, design, procurement and project management throughout a wide range of residential properties including listed buildings. Tom is a very keen sportsman, and whilst living in Wimbledon, he enjoys playing tennis, cricket and golf, and a passion for motorsport has lead him to currently compete in the British Hillclimb Championship with his single-seater racing car.
Alexia joined Hamilton King in April 2019 after two years of working as a designer for Mark Lewis Interior Design. Alexia worked directly for Mark taking on varied roles in the design process as part of a small design studio team. Prior to that, Alexia graduated with a First-Class BA (Hons) degree in Spatial Design from London College of Communication. Alexia’s favourite part of her work at Hamilton King is the process of creating visuals and working through 3d modelling for our projects.
Alexia has lived in several countries from an early age which has opened her up to different cultures and languages. She is currently working towards fluency in Spanish which will be her third language in addition to English and her native language French. In Alexia’s spare time she enjoys cycling around London and exploring galleries and museums for creative inspiration.
Bear joined Hamilton King in August of 2019 as HR and PR assistant. He most enjoys meeting new people and being in the studio several times a week. He is particularly keen to ensure that the design team is happy with their tasks for the day, and then he likes to settle down to a spot of meditation.
In his spare time, he enjoys sticks, balls and bean bags, as well as long walks along the river, country pubs and travel around the UK.
We are always looking for talented people to join our team from designers to project managers.
