We designed a family-friendly computer/homework room based on the concept of an “Apple Store”.
The brief was to create a fun and entertaining space that could be used as a computer/homework room by our clients’ children.
Through the Concept Design phase, we spoke with our clients and landed on the idea of designing a room around the concept of an “Apple Store”. We created in-depth concept plans, mood boards, and 3D sketch-up models before managing the manufacture and installation of this project.
Working in tandem with a specialist joinery company, we created a wooden Herringbone cladding wall and island desk.
To achieve a textured finish to the Herringbone, we used reclaimed floor joists, which were planed to varying thicknesses. Each Herringbone piece was applied to the joinery and feature wall in a random order to create the desired textured and rustic aesthetic.
The family love their “Apple Store” inspired room with their completely bespoke furniture. Now used by the entire family for fun, innovation, homework/projects, the room is the creative hub of the home.
