“Apple Store” Inspired Interior Fit Out

Small changes done right can have a big impact on our daily lives. At Hamilton King, we are all about those moments of satisfaction in having something designed and made well. For our Barrowgate Road project, the brief was to create an “Apple Store” style room, which would be used by our client’s children as a computer/homework room. 

In the concept design phase, we came up with a design scheme that was based around a waverly oak Herringbone clad feature wall and joinery. We worked alongside a specialist joinery company to create the bespoke Herringbone pieces.  To create a textured finish to the Herringbone, we specified the material should be reclaimed floor joists, planed to varying thicknesses. Each Herringbone piece was applied to the joinery and feature wall in a random order to create the desired textured and rustic aesthetic. The result is a truly bespoke room which both the client and their kids love.
