Stage: In Build

A stunning renovation and extension of a semi-detached property in Kensington. Our clients, who have recently moved in, approached us with a brief to create a sociable and long-lasting space that would serve as their forever home. We were thrilled to take on this challenge and have been working hard to bring their vision to life.

the brief.

Our clients wanted a space that would be perfect for their later years, and we were tasked with creating a design that would be both modern and timeless. Our team worked closely with the clients to understand their needs and wants, and we developed a design that would meet their requirements.

what we did.

During the design concept phase, we discussed the project with our clients and translated their ideas into a sleek modern design. We decided to extend the side and rear of the ground floor to create a contemporary living kitchen, which would be perfect for entertaining guests. We also planned to carry out a full renovation of the first and second floors, which would include internal reconfiguration and the addition of two dormers to provide ample light and make the space feel larger.

In the garden, we are designing and landscaping the area to accommodate al fresco entertaining, creating an outdoor space that is perfect for summer evenings.

what we are doing.

With planning permission granted for the proposed works, we are now in the build stage. Our team has been working hard to bring the project to life, applying for approval (discharge) of planning conditions, developing the planning drawings in more technical detail, and preparing pre-construction information.

On the left-hand side photo, we observe the ongoing construction activities at the site. Notably new stairs have been successfully installed, and the construction of all dormers is nearing completion. These dormers showcase their impressive size through the large windows, which promise to provide a captivating view. Taking a broader look, the rooms on both the first and second floors have reached the panel board stage. Additionally, all electrical work has been diligently completed.
